This does not affect any other installation you may have. You can install it anywhere on your hard drive, it just works. Try it!
What's in this Package?:

This is a copy of my personal (stock!) installation of Battlzone 1 patched to 1.4, with antilag already installed, and ready to go on windows XP operating systems. There are also some added goodies I've included I hope you'll enjoy.

- 15 Multiplayer Strategy Maps
- 14 Instant Action Maps
- Blue Stealth Skin
- Red Bdog Grizzly Skin
- No annoying mag sound!
- Finger Friendly Game Controls
- Custom Label.map (changes text in buttons and things the game says to you)


 

How to install:
Note: You can extract (install) the files from the zip to anywhere on your computer, just remember where you extracted it to so you can find the bzone.exe to launch.

1. Open My Computer and go to C:\Program Files
- right click on a blank area of that folder and select New > Folder
- Name the new folder Activision

2. Extract all of the winrar archive's contents into the activision folder you just created.
C:\Program Files\Activision
- This will install the game files.

All of the following steps are optional.

 

Create a Shortcut
Go to C:\Program Files\Activision\Battlezone and right click on the bzone.exe
- Select Create Shortcut (this will create a shortcut to the game that you can drag and drop to where ever you store your shortcuts.)


 

DAEMON
----VIRTUAL MEMORY EMULATOR----
Daemon allows you to play the game as if you had the CD
It's not a CD crack...it's better. You can host games, and play single player without the CD.

Download [DAEMON] and follow the instructions in the readme.txt on how to install and use it.


How to Play Instant Action Maps:

1. Go to C:\Program Files\Activision\addon (or where ever you installed to)
- as you scroll through that directory you will eventually see a bunch of green Battlezone icons.
These are the launch files for the IA (instant action) maps. Click on one of the icons to play.


Possible Issues:

Game Crashes or Freezes with no error message
Some video cards won't do 640x480 screen resolution. This is most likely the cause of this happening. To repair this issue:
 Click on Options where ever you see it in the lower left hand side of the screen
Click on Graphics Options
Change your screen resolution to at least 800x600
NOTE: Make sure your 3d Card is set to ON!
